There is a rubbish bin and small trees, with some tracks going a bit further away from the main road for those who like a bit more privacy. Pets are OK if kept under control and on a lead at all times. This site is not suitable for tent camping, to camp you must have a fully self-contained recreational vehicle. The Eyre Bird Observatory was established as Australia’s first bird observatory by Birds Australia in 1977, with the turnoff from the Eyre Highway to the observatory being some 17km east of Cocklebiddy.
